Samenvatting:
The usual interpretation of article 14 of the Dutch Law on Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) entails an obligation fo0r the employer to apply the CLA to all the employees in his service. This usual interpretation is not in accordance with the text of article 14, nor with the intend of the legislator and has no added value. The author therefore pleas for a stricter application of article 14.
